The new CUPRA Born is powerful with its 231 hp and the first all-electric model from CUPRA. The vehicle is full of passion for electric mobility and sustainability. Fully charged, the CUPRA Born can reach a range of up to 548 km. Like all cars at CUPRA, sportiness is the focus of the design. Bold lines and a sleek body characterise the exterior. The headlights greet you with a dynamic play of light as soon as you open your car. The elegant design of the Blizzard rims blends perfectly into the external image with its copper and black trim. Moreover, the Born leaves behind all competitors in the ‘small and compact electric cars’ category.

Three different electric motors are available, with outputs ranging from 150 hp to 231 hp.

CUPRA Born technology

The CUPRA Born features the latest technologies. The system feeds energy into the interior by means of a heat pump to regulate the temperature in the vehicle. The head-up display in the driver’s field of view through the windscreen shows vital driving information at all times. Route information, navigation, music and voice control – the 12-inch online infotainment system has a lot to offer. For even more technology, download the My CUPRA app and set the temperature or the front seat heater before you get in.

The ACC automatic distance control takes over the driving almost by itself. The CUPRA Born adjusts the speed according to all eventualities – whether when cornering or negotiating a roundabout. When you open the door, the Exit Assist prevents a collision with passing road users. The Park Assist, the Lane Change Assist and the High Beam Assist are also included in the CUPRA Born.

El Born is a medieval district of Barcelona. In addition to Gothic palaces, there are also art galleries, museums, restaurants and shops. The CUPRA Born was named after this district.

Consumers have been able to purchase electric cars from CUPRA since January 2022. It is manufactured at the Volkswagen plant in Zwickau. The CUPRA Born received five out of five stars from the Euro NCAP for vehicle safety.

* Maximum power determined according to UN GTR.21, available for max. 30 seconds. The power available in the individual driving situations depends on various factors, such as the ambient temperature and state of charge, the temperature and the condition or age of the high-voltage battery. Providing the maximum power requires a certain temperature of the high-voltage battery between 23-50 °C and a state of charge of the battery of more than 55% to provide about 170 kW for the 58 kWh battery (62 kWh gross). A temperature between 23-50 °C and a battery state of charge greater than 85% will deliver approximately 170 kW for the 77 kWh battery (82 kWh gross). Any deviation from the above parameters may result in reduced performance or even in the overboost not being available at all.

Battery warranty 8 years or 160'000km on 70% battery performance. The fuel consumption figures and efficiency categories in our sales documents are European standard fuel consumption figures according to WLTP measurement procedures, which are used to compare vehicles. In practice, these can sometimes vary significantly depending on driving style, payload, topography, equipment and time of year. We also recommend the Eco-Drive driving style to conserve resources.
