Which footballers are going electric?

These are the electric cars the Young Boys stars are driving

As of this season, Swiss football champions BSC Young Boys are also on the ball when it comes to sustainability thanks to AMAG, with electric cars for both players and staff. Who is driving what?

AMAG has a clear goal: to become the leading provider of sustainable individual mobility solutions.  And this will now become clear for football fans too. As of the 2021/22 season, AMAG Automobil und Motoren AG will be a Premium Partner and Official Car Partner for the Bern YB football club and will kit out its players with a total of 50 cars from VW, Audi, SEAT and Škoda. Many of them will be electric cars.

«Paving the way for new technologies»

«We are looking forward to starting off the season with the BSC Young Boys and are convinced that YB will continue their success into the future. Both companies mobilise people and want to get them excited, so it’s a very good fit for us,» explains Mathias Gabler, Managing Director of all the AMAG dealerships. «We are convinced that the players and support staff will also have a lot of fun with the electric cars. This also allows us to pave the way for new technologies.» The AMAG logo will feature on the shorts of the YB players and on the LED strips along the touchlines. A new AMAG lounge will also be built at the Wankdorf Stadium.
