Exterior design

VW ID.3 Neo exterior design

The VW ID.3 Neo features the new design language of the fully electric ID. models. The new front-end design, seamlessly integrated LED headlights and roof and tailgate in the body colour characterise its clean look.

The front, side profile and rear flow seamlessly into each other. Depending on the equipment, a distinctive light signature and an illuminated Volkswagen logo complete the contemporary look.

Different wheel sizes offer individual design options. New 20-inch Zwickau alloy wheels are also available as an option from the Life equipment line and up. The VW ID.3 Neo adds another modern touch with its Norwegian Sea Blue exterior colour.

Interior

VW ID.3 Neo interior

The interior of the VW ID.3 Neo combines carefully selected materials with a clean design. Finely textured trims and softly padded surfaces on doors and fittings create a high-quality ambience.

The 26 cm ID. Cockpit driver information display shows the most important information right in the driver’s field of vision. The central touchscreen has a diagonal of 32.7 cm. Physical buttons on the steering wheel and on the air conditioning control panel facilitate operation while driving.

Four electric windows, a fold-down centre armrest and additional storage space offer convenience and comfort for everyday use.

Details of the new VW ID.3 electric car

Up to 629 kilometres of electric range

Depending on the battery and equipment, the VW ID.3 Neo boasts a range of up to 629 kilometres according to WLTP. This makes the compact electric car suitable for both daily driving and longer trips.

The battery charges at up to 183 kW at suitable DC fast-charging stations. Under optimal conditions, it charges from 10% to 80% in around 29 minutes.

The actual range and charging time depend on the outside temperature, driving style, state of charge and the charging infrastructure used, among other factors.

In addition to the new car warranty, the high-voltage battery also comes with a warranty of eight years or up to 160,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.

Note on range and charging capacity

The range was determined according to the Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, WLTP. Actual range may vary depending on driving style, speed, outside temperature, topography, payload and use of comfort features.

The specified charging time and charging capacity apply under optimal conditions. Battery and outside temperature, state of charge and the type of charging station can influence the charging capacity and charging time.

The optional heat pump for the VW ID.3 Neo

The optional heat pump heats the interior of the VW ID.3 Neo with less energy than a conventional electric heater. This means that more energy from the high-voltage battery is available for the journey.

The heat pump compresses a refrigerant under high pressure. The heat generated in the process is used to heat cold air. Naturally occurring CO₂, also known as R744, is used as the refrigerant.

The heat pump can help make more efficient use of the available energy, particularly at low outdoor temperatures.

Connected and easy to use

The Innovision infotainment system combines infotainment, the ID. Cockpit, the in-car shop and the IDA voice assistant. Key functions can be controlled via the 32.7 cm touchscreen or by voice.

With App-Connect, you can use selected smartphone apps via the vehicle’s display. Bluetooth, digital radio reception and USB-C ports with up to 45 watts round off the digital features.

Additional features such as navigation and VW Connect Plus are available with the optional Innovision Pro infotainment system.

IDA voice assistant

The IDA voice assistant lets you use your voice to control selected vehicle and infotainment functions. Start the assistant by saying 'Hello IDA' and use natural phrases, for example to control the air conditioning, navigation or media playback.

Depending on the language and software version, the voice assistant can also access ChatGPT. Availability and functionality may vary depending on the vehicle, equipment, software version and selected language.

Power external devices with the VW ID.3 Neo

The VW ID.3 Neo is vehicle-to-load-ready. With a suitable adapter, the high-voltage battery can power external electrical devices, such as an e-bike or an electric grill.

Availability and functionality may depend on the vehicle, equipment and specific accessories.

Depending on the equipment, the VW ID.3 Neo has assistance systems for driving, parking and manoeuvring.

Automatic cruise control (ACC)

The adaptive cruise control adjusts the speed and can help to maintain a set distance to the vehicle in front.

“Lane Assist” lane departure warning system

Lane Assist can detect when the vehicle leaves its lane unintentionally and help the driver stay in the lane.

Front Assist emergency braking assist

Front Assist monitors the area in front of the vehicle. Within its technical capabilities, the system can warn of a possible collision and support braking.

Side Assist lane change assist

Side Assist can detect vehicles in hard-to-see areas and warn when changing lanes. The Park Assist and exit warning features offer additional support in everyday driving.

Parking assistance and reversing camera

The Park Assist function warns of obstacles in the front and rear areas. Depending on the equipment, the Rear View camera provides better visibility when reversing.

Assistance systems can support the driver, but they are not a substitute for the driver paying attention. The systems only function within their technical limits.
