Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept

The design of the Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept makes the relationship to the existing Audi A6 family visible: it shows how elements of the successful Audi A6 model series could be transformed into the e-tron era - for example through the large, closed single frame, which is flanked in the lower area by deep air intakes for cooling the drive, battery and brakes, and the continuous light strip at the rear.

The design of the Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept dispenses with hard edges, which ensures smooth transitions between convex and concave surfaces and soft shadow gradients - 22-inch wheels and short overhangs, the flat cabin and the wide Avant roof arch give the vehicle sporty proportions. The 4.96 metre long, 1.96 metre wide and 1.44 metre high body positions the concept vehicle in the luxury car class.

Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept News

The Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept shows what could be possible in terms of electric range in production vehicles in the future. Depending on the drive and model variant, a series-production version based on the Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept could have a range of more than 700 kilometres (according to the WLTP standard) in the future. 

 

The vehicle has an 800-volt system and a charging capacity of up to 270 kW. The innovative solutions are based on the new PPE technology platform. The central element is a battery module between the axles, which can be installed in various sizes and adapted to the motorisation; models with less power can be equipped with a smaller and lighter battery. Utilising the entire vehicle base enables a comparatively flat design for the battery, which is necessary for vehicles with dynamic architecture. The quattro all-wheel drive system can also be realised in this design. From the outside, a black insert emphasises the battery area above the side sill connecting the wheel arches.
