Exterior design of the Škoda Kodiaq

With its redesigned front end, new off-road features and hexagonal Škoda grille, the Škoda Kodiaq now looks even more rugged. The design is complemented by elegant lines and dynamic curves. The Active, Ambition and Style equipment lines feature aluminium-effect trim for the front and rear aprons. For the first time, this spacious Škoda SUV offers full LED Matrix headlights. Interior design of the Škoda Kodiaq

More comfortable, more ergonomic, more sustainable: Škoda has also made tweaks to the interior of the Kodiaq. For the first time, the large SUV can be fitted with ergonomically optimised front seats with ventilation and a massage function. The covers of the optional Eco seats are made from sustainable, vegan materials. New trim strips, contrasting stitching and LED ambient lighting with an extended range of functions add fresh accents. The Kodiaq is also available as a seven-seater.

Further details about the Škoda Kodiaq

The Škoda Kodiaq can be purchased with diesel or petrol engines. The petrol engines range from 125 hp for the 1.4 TSI to 245 hp for the 2.0 TSI RS. The 2.0 TDI SCR diesel engine starts with an output of 150 hp. The 2.0 TDI RS with 240 hp offers the highest performance. Now in the second generation, a hybrid variant of petrol engine and electric motor is available, with an output of 204 hp.

The Škoda Kodiaq is equipped with the highest quality technology. This includes a state-of-the-art 13-inch infotainment system, a head-up display and massage seats.

The Škoda Kodiaq offers a wide range of state-of-the-art assistance systems that significantly improve safety and comfort while driving. These include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Emergency Brake Assist, Blind Spot Detection and Traffic Sign Recognition. These technologies provide the driver with comprehensive support in a variety of traffic situations, from speed control to blind spot detection.

Active: In the entry-level “Active” version, the Kodiaq offers comprehensive standard equipment, including seven airbags, Hill Hold Assist, LED tail lights, air conditioning and a music system with a 6.5-inch screen. The starter model has a 1.4 TSI engine with a six-speed manual transmission.

Ambition: The “Ambition” line includes additional features to the basic version, such as the running light assistant, rear parking sensors, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, comfort hands-free calling, digital DAB+ radio and much more, including seat covers in Ambition Black or Ambition Brown, decorative inserts and 17-inch alloy rims in the Ratikon design.

Style: In addition to the features of the “Ambition” variant, the “Style” equipment includes 18-inch Triton-design alloy wheels, LED technology for headlights, daytime running lights, licence plate and tail lights, adaptive front headlights, front and rear parking sensors, heated front seats, exclusive seat covers and decorations, Bluetooth hands-free, a Phonebox with inductive charging function, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function and other features.

Sportline: Matrix LED headlights with dynamic Full-Beam Assist, progressive steering, heated front and outer rear seats, a heated sports leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons, comfort hands-free calling with inductive charging function, seat covers made of microfibre in “Sport Black”, LED ambient lighting, a decorative element in “Dark Carbon” and 19-inch “Triglav” alloy wheels are all part of the “Sportline” equipment. The engine selection remains the same as for the other lines.

L&K: The L&K equipment also includes progressive steering, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Change Assist and Park Assist, the ACC adaptive Front Radar Assist up to 160 km/h, pedals in a stainless steel design, leather trim with ventilated front seats, a CANTON sound system with nine speakers, decorative elements in “Piano-Black L&K”, LED ambient lighting, electric tailgate operation, tinted rear windows and much more. In addition, 19-inch “Sirius Anthracite” alloy wheels are included.

RS: This version of the Škoda Kodiaq combines power and sportiness. It is the most powerful variant of the model. It also offers additional sporty features such as sports suspension and a powerful four-cylinder turbo diesel engine. It is rounded off with a sporty interior.

The Kodiak bear, which lives on Kodiak Island off the south coast of Alaska, is not only the largest brown bear in the world, but also the namesake of the Škoda Kodiaq. In reference to the language of the indigenous Alutiiq people, a “q” has been added to the end of the name, as they do with their animal names.

The Škoda Kodiaq is the second model in Škoda’s successful SUV series. It was presented in Berlin in 2016, before receiving a facelift in 2021. It laid the foundation for the typical Škoda SUV naming style, starting with “K” and ending with “q”. The Kodiaq is available as a five-seater and in the larger version with ample space, as a seven-seater. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, the Škoda Kodiaq quickly became a top model in the Škoda portfolio. To date, almost 792,000 models have been sold in more than 60 countries. Numerous international awards followed, such as the 2017 “Best Import Vehicle” and the Red Dot Award for outstanding product design. In addition, the Škoda Kodiaq is largely responsible for Škoda’s success in international markets, particularly in China, Germany, the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic.
