In terms of technology and equipment, the exterior of the up to seven-seater VW Caddy is distinguished by numerous new features: These include optional electric closing aids for the sliding doors and tailgate, as well as a particularly large panoramic roof with a glass area of 1.4 m2 that extends over the first and second rows of seats. Also new and light-alloy wheels up to 18-inch and new LED headlights and LED taillights. On board for the first time: the keyless start and locking system Keyless Access (Kessy for short).

The interior of the VW Caddy has been completely redesigned and extensively digitized. For the first time, the all-rounder will be available with digital instruments as an option: the Digital Cockpit. The cockpit and infotainment system of the van form a high-tech digital landscape (Innovision Cockpit). Numerous other controls have also been digitized: These include a button module for the light and visibility functions to the left of the multifunction steering wheel and a module below the infotainment system as direct access buttons to various menu functions. The Caddy also convinces with active passenger compartment ventilation, comfortable ergoComfort seats, a new seating concept that offers two individual seats in the third row, and much more.

The TSI and TDI engines are characterised by their high economy and efficiency, which translates into good fuel consumption figures. Thanks to intensive research and development, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has continuously improved engine technology in order to guarantee optimum performance while reducing emissions. Of particular note is the improved exhaust pollution control of TDI engines, which significantly reduces NOx emissions thanks to Twindosing technology. With a maximum output of up to 125 hp, the engines of the VW Caddy offer a dynamic driving style that convinces in both urban and rural areas. In addition, the optional 7-speed DSG transmission ensures a fully automatic gear change without interruption of traction, which further enhances driving comfort.

The VW Caddy is equipped with up to nineteen state-of-the-art driver assistance systems that make driving safer and more comfortable.

The optional Travel Assist combines the functions of Adaptive Distance Control (ACC) and Lane Assist to ensure relaxed driving on long journeys. In addition, Trailer Assist makes manoeuvring with a trailer easier by taking control of the steering and leaving only acceleration and braking to the driver. When parking, the rear assist system automatically brakes when an obstacle is detected. Traffic Sign Recognition allows speed limits and other important traffic signs to be detected and displayed to the driver.
