Exterior design of the VW Taigo

The new VW Taigo combines compact dimensions with impressive design. From the distinctive roof edge to the dynamic rear apron, the Taigo shows off sporty charisma. The coupé design is accentuated by narrow, dark red LED tail lights with a continuous light strip. At the front, a stylish LED light strip connects the LED matrix headlights to each other. The wide bumpers with integrated fog lights add to the SUV’s sporty design.

The inviting interior of the new VW Taigo comes with a high-quality soft-touch dashboard as standard. The “Style” equipment line offers the dashboard with a coloured trim. Keep an eye on the essentials with the 20.32 cm colour display including speedometer and odometer. This forms part of the digital cockpit with its many functions. The SUV also has a storage compartment at the front with an inductive charger to ensure that your phone battery is always sufficiently charged.

Three petrol engines from 95 hp up to 150 hp are available for the VW Taigo.

The VW Taigo’s infotainment system includes navigation, smartphone integration (e.g. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), Bluetooth connectivity and more. The rear-view camera helps you to navigate safely. The Taigo enables keyless access to the car as long as the key is 1.5 metres away from the car.

The VW Taigo offers a range of assistance systems that ensure greater driving comfort and safety. In addition to Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), it features Lane Change Assist, which issues you visual warnings if another vehicle is in the blind spot or within a distance of up to 50 metres behind you. Optionally, Park Assist supports you by calculating whether a parking space is large enough as soon as you pass it and can even carry out the parking manoeuvre.

The VW Taigo’s name is based on the taiga and the Siberian tiger. At Volkswagen, all SUVs have a “T” at the beginning of their name. The SUV coupé is part of the small car segment and was introduced for the first time in Brazil under the name Nivus. The VW Taigo has been available in Europe since September 2021. It scored five out of five stars in the Euro NCAP safety test in 2022.

Life: Equipped with alloy wheels, radio including “Streaming & Internet”, full-beam control, air conditioning with mechanical control and electrically folding exterior mirrors, “Life” is the basic equipment of the VW Taigo.

Style: The equipment of the “Style” line includes a dual-zone air conditioning system and dynamic full-beam control.

R-Line: “Style” and “R-Line” each come with a similar level of equipment in the VW Taigo. However, their configurations have different focuses. While “Style” opts for visible elegance, the “R-Line” focuses on sportiness.

As a compact SUV, the VW Taigo can master any terrain – even on narrow roads. It boasts state-of-the-art technology, design and driving comfort. Reliable like its Volkswagen brothers and sisters, the VW Taigo has also successfully proven itself as a used car.
