Stefan Baltisberger set to retire.

Stefan Baltisberger, who has been Managing Director of AMAG businesses in Basel for many years, will be retiring at the end of 2020 after a long career in the automotive sector.

Stefan joined the organisation on 1 April 2012 as Managing Director of all garages in the ASAG Group. This included seven garage locations in Switzerland and four in Southern Germany. Following a strategic decision made by the owners at the time, these were subsequently sold to new owners. This saw ASAG Auto-Service AG, which had locations in Basel, Pratteln, Liestal and Rheinfelden, sold to AMAG Automobil und Motoren AG. It was then that Stefan became part of the AMAG family, distinguishing himself in incorporating the “new” AMAG businesses in North-Western Switzerland into the world of AMAG. In all the years leading up to and during his time at AMAG, Stefan enjoyed great success in managing business operations, showing the utmost dedication and customer focus.

We would like to thank Stefan for all his hard work and wish him every success for the future as he begins a new chapter in his life. Since his motto is “make the rest of my life the best of my life”, we can assume that Stefan is very much looking forward to having more time to devote to many other pursuits after almost 25 years in the automotive sector.

Until a successor for Stefan has been found, Mathias Gabler, Managing Director AMAG Retail, will assume responsibility for our businesses in North-Western Switzerland.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your loyalty this year. It is a privilege to count you among our customers. As we approach the end of 2020, we hope you will be able to relax and enjoy some quality time with your family and friends. With this in mind, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year. We thank you for your trust and look forward to seeing you soon at AMAG Basel or another AMAG business in the region.

We wish you a merry Christmas, a peaceful end to a challenging year and the very best of health for 2021.
